The aim of the project was to study improvement the efficiency of low cost centrifugal pumps. Commonly used pumps in India have low efficiency and waste large amounts of power. As part of this project, the efficiency of a popular low cost pump was computationally analyzed. A pump impeller and  casing was analyzed for fluid flow efficiency using computational software.
